St. Philip is located on the rapidly changing racially diverse Historic Eastside of Columbus within walking distance to both Ohio State University Hospital and Franklin Park Conservatory. We serve God in various ways. We invite you to bring your God-given gifts to join us in ministry.
"To Encourage Men to be Disciples of Christ, Thereby Empowering us to Assist Those in Need, Share the love of Christ with all, by Building Disciples, Growing in faith and Serving in Jesus' Name."
The Men in Mission at St. Philip Evangelical Lutheran Church was started as a Brotherhood of civic minded men, who came together to promote God's word and to spread the Gospel. The men committed to leadership by example and in accordance James 1:25, "But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does". And, James 2:17, "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead."
Our Purpose:
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
